Documentary photographer Eugene Richards has been awarded the inaugural National Geographic Grant for Photography. Apparently the $50,000 grant will be used for a project called "War is Personal", that will cover the current war in Iraq. The photo project will focus on the war's effects on soldiers and their loved ones when they return from their tour of duty.
