Kenko Announces Three New Meters

Kenko has announced two new digital light meters the KFM-1100 and KFM-2100, as well as a color meter, the KCM-3100.

Digital Light Meters:
The KFM-1100 and KFM-2100 read incident light between EV -2.0 and 19.9 with a 270-degree rotating receptor head. They also meter flash lighting with or without a sync cord connection. The 1100 can store data from 2 exposures while the 2100 can save data from 10, and both meters can average stored exposures. Their analyzing function determines the ratio of ambient light to flash light in a scene. Not only does the KFM-2100 measure incident and flash, it measures reflected light between EV -2.0 and 24.5 with a spot meter built into the unit's viewfinder. The viewfinder itself features a diopter and an F-number display. The 2100 includes an exposure navigation system for confirming exposure in multiple areas of a scene, as well as a selection of Cine or Still modes.

Digital Color Meter:
The KCM-3100 handheld digital color meter reads red, green and blue incident light between EV 3.0 and 16.3 with a rotating receptor head that swivels 90 degrees to the right and 180 degrees to the left. The 3100 also offers nine customizable memory channels, and can meter flash lighting with or without a sync cord connection. The 3100 can display color temperature in degrees Kelvin, Kodak filter numbers and Light Balancing index numbers in mireds.

The $500 KFM-1100, $800 KFM-2100, and $1,800 KCM-3100 will be available in July.
