Debbie Grossman of PopPhoto.com provides a concise, to-the-point, explanation of the HDR digital darkroom technique that is becoming quite popular. High Dynamic Range photos combine multiple exposures of a single scene, creating a wide exposure range within a single image. Until now the best practice for HDR editing is to use a tripod to take the image. However, the upcoming Adobe Creative Suite 3 will merge multiple hand-held shots while automatically aligning and cropping them.
