Nikon announced today that a limited number of COOLPIX model digital point-and-shoot cameras may experience performance and operability failures. COOLPIX 3100, 3500, 4500, 5000, 5400, 5700 and SQ models may have problems including images with strong color tint, totally black images, and/or images with visible defects. Nikon has pledged to service the camera free of charge if it can be confirmed that the problem is associated with the Service Advisory.
